The hotel is really good within it's price bracket. The breakfast was good, location is great too. Sure it's no upmarket or luxury hotel, but it definitely is on the high end in it's price range. Parking is expensive, so we used public parking. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly too

The staff at this hotel would easily be the best I have encountered as a collective presence in a hotel. This is all staff from check-in to cleaners as all were amazing. I have stayed at some amazing places all over the world but this team of people seemed to genuinely enjoy doing what they do and it showed in their overall demeanour and delivery of service. I truly wish all NZ businesses, including but not exclusively hotels, were showing this passion to their customers. What treat it was from check-in right thru to check out. Well done team for doing what you do and how you do it!

I stayed one night at the Ibis Hamilton Tainui. They have recently finished a complete renovation so everything is clean, in excellent condition, and well-designed. The room was comfortable and I slept well on the mattress. Yet my favorite part of the hotel was the lobby, restaurant area, and the outdoor seating deck. The full buffet was probably the best I've ever experienced - sweet, savory, hot, cold - so many choices. I ate at the tables on the deck which overlooks the river. Since the town is so far above the river, it felt like I was in the treetops. Ten stars, easy! Oh, and all the staff I encountered were kind , helpful, and professional.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with my sister and we had a blast there. The hotel was clean and lovely, the mirror in the bathroom has LED lights which is such a cool addition, and my sister especially made use of the study area where it looks out of the window with a fantastic view of the sunset. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I would say that it is a bit overpriced, but the munchies were yum. It is also well located. The mall, Timezone, and Sky City were only 1 to 3 minutes walk away from the hotel which is so good because my sister and I wanted to explore Hamilton and hoped that we wouldn't need to grab an Uber to go around. Once again, the overall stay was fabulous and we would surely book to stay at Ibis Hotel again someday. Thank you very much to all the lovely and welcoming staffs for making our stay go smoothly!

The service is FANTASTIC! All staff friendly, smiling and nothing was too much bother! Valet service for the car and great breakfast options as well as dinner options. A bit random there is no room delivery service especially after a long day but you can call down then pop to the bar area to collect down once it's ready which is easy enough. Good sized room and I had a wonderful window view. Comfy beds although is 2 singles pushed together to make a double I had a lovely sleep. Nearly priced matches with Novotel which I feel is strange as I would think Ibis would be the budget friendly of the two. All in all a good stay. Thanks

Great food and service all round. Comfortable beds and the best pillows. I'd give it 5 stars if my room hadn't had an old open milk carton in the fridge which I didn't notice until I made my morning coffee, and the drain in the bathroom smelled bad.

Lovely modern room, super clean! Everything felt considered. Bed was huge and comfortable with great pillows. Breakfast was great. Again, modern and considered. Would definitely stay again. Was able to charge our EV overnight for free, bonus!!
